#71 – Bad Company Preview

No special guest in this week’s episode, unless you count IGN’s report on Battlefield Bad Company straight from Sweden as such a special guest.

Hee and Ole chat it up a bit about the new stuff that will be in Bad Company, how it could affect a possible Battlefield 3, and whether we really care about it. We’ve got a video comment by a purple…. something, the Sir. Community celebrates its collective works in their show reel; some mod updates, and Frappr Shoutouts round off the show.

Oh and I almost forgot, we are now going to be streaming video of our recording sessions live on the website for you to check out!

    Leave it to EA, always releasing a game before its ready, then slacking off to patch its mistakes, wont be spending my coin on any EA product in the near future. Will hold,and wait and see how they handle this release, Not considering the PC version just goes to show how into the coin they are with the console version. Its all in the profit margin baby!!!!

    My not purchasing From EA will have no effect. But maybe just maybe there are more out there that feel the same way!!!! Think Pink!!!!!!

    One should think of the following: even if this petition will not change the plan, to only release bfbc for consoles, this may show the devs, that "the community" is of the opinion, that BFBC is the "minimum level" to be set for a new bf on pc ^^

    Just another detail abotu sound quality is beleive it or not if you have a high quality creative x-fi card or turtle beach montego it can increase your framerate.

    also a note on helos with consoe lcontroller i played modern combat for ps2 for a year or so and i can do stuff with dual analog control u couldnt imagien doing on joystick its a simple concept one analog is strafe and throttle, other analog is pitch and roll and the triggers are the rudder controlls

    No problem :) I want to see Bad Company on the PC as much as anyone else. God knows I can't use a gamepad in an FPS to save my life, lol. I also created a thread in the forums and passed it on to TotalBF2/2142, so hopefully they will pick it up as well.

    Hmm, interesting idea about the signup page. I don't know if it would help though. I know that the cool engine (Frostbite) isn't limited to the consoles, but it seems like a bit of a money grab releasing Bad Company on consoles only. I'll see if I can create a signup page.

    hello podcast crew and bf players,
    I cant help but feel we are being left out in the cold when it comes to bf bad company. I have played bf 1942, nam, bf2,and 2142 for years,and loved every hour of game play (good and bad). So I just can not belive my ears when I hear Dice has built the greatest game engine with super sound and all the things the bf players have wanted for years and they are going to release it on the ps3.What the ***k is that! Hardcore bf fans on pc's have dropped alot of cash on the battle field over the years on each new game, booster packs, and rig up grades for the best fps. It just feels like a kick in the face.

    would you guys consider starting a sign-in page for peaple who would like to see bf bc for the pc and send the numbers off to dice and ea?

  • Yes, its confirmed for konsoles only, no word about a pc version. as we were sitting down for a presentation for bf:bc on this years games-convention in leipzig (germany), we were told, that bf:bc won't come for pc...but this is not for the frostbite engine...^^

    Hehehe, Bad Company is confirmed for Xbox 360 and PS3. No firm yes or no on a PC version as far as I know.

    So Bad company is definately not going to be on the pc.??? Is it going to me on PS3? If so thats Poco Loco running you over with the jeep playing DOWN WITH THE SICKNESS on the radio.
